USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense

Course Length: 8+ hours

Age: 21+

In this class, you will learn conflict avoidance, situational awareness; handgun, shotgun & AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters, legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.

This mid-level Course uses curriculum developed by the USCCA.

The course fee includes:

8 hours of Classroom Instruction based on the beautifully illustrated and complete text book, 200+ page training manual, supplemented by videos, instructor demonstrations, and active exercises.   2 hours Shooting drills at the range.

An official USCCA Course Completion Certificate will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the course.

This course meets the training requirements to apply for a concealed carry permit in Colorado.

Required Ammunition/Equipment for Students:

  • 120 rounds of ammunition minimum
  • Center fire handgun (9mm; 40 cal, 45 ACP)
  • Strong side outside the waistband (OWB) holster or strong side inside the waistband (IWB) holster. No cross draw, shoulder holster, ankle or small of the back holster allowed. 
  • Three magazine minimum or speed-loaders for your pistol with carriers or pocket space to stow extra magazines on your person
  • Eye and hearing protection.
  • Cover garment, can be jacket, button up shirt, vest, etc.
